Adrénaline Challenge

This week-end, I was invited in Tignes for the last event of the season, the Adrénaline Challenge by l’Équipe 21.
The concept is great -> it’s 36 athletes from all kinds of sports -> 9 teams of 4 -> to do a battle in two day -> one bike race + one ski race!

I was with:
Enak Gavaggio, pro skier (Captain)
Lee Ann Curren,  pro surfer
Nico Droz, pro snowboarder

We finished 4th! The DERBY was the better run for me!
I spent a very good time on this event, it was a good opportunity to meet new people from other sports and everybody were professional in their sport, that’s interesting!
You can check the recap of the event on: www.e-adrenaline.fr

Thank’s ADRÉNALINE

Lofoten Island – Norway

2 weeks ago, Aurélien Ducroz invited me to come with him to the Lofoten Islands in Norway, to share a sea-mountain trip together. Sailing is a passion for Aurélien during the summer.
Last week, we were there with one guide François Regis Thevenet, one cameraman Daniel Lafarge and one photographer Dan Ferrer.
We lived and sailing on a boat between the different island,  we skied four days out of six because the  weather can change 10 times in one day, that’s the difficulty to organize and there was a high risk of avalanche. But we got lucky, we did new couloir every day, great images were made, two journalists (Jean Pierre Feret/Bertrand Lachat) from the TF1 channel joined us during the week, you can see their report via this link:
TF1- JT 20h – 10/04/2013

The trip was amazing, magic, fantastic… I was very happy to share this experience with Aurélien, it’s like a mentor for me in the ski. The spirit was super, only ski touring, freeride and sailing! Thanks Aurélien, I still want to discover a lot of new destinations like that… :)
Lot of new video and photo coming soon, stay connected!

Verbier, Bec des Rosses, the dream venue…

The final was amazing this week-end in Verbier (CH)! Xavier De Le Rue and Aurélien Ducroz were very impressive, they showed their experience!
I want to be at the top of this face, a dream!
Congrats to my friend Kevin Guri who won the competition and Drew Tabke who winning the general ranking!
Before my back at the school, next week I will go to Norway, to do a documentary for the TF1 channel… I will post news when I will be there. See you soon! :)

FWT Fieberbrunn – 5th Stop

Last Saturday, I riding my last FWT competition of the year.
Conditions were very hard! There were lot of changing snow with powder, ice, spring snow… it was difficult to do an good inspection of the face, but my run was giving me really want to ski in! So I haven’t changed anything!
Than I crashed after an great cliff because I’m arrived to fast on an ice part… you can see my run via this link: Run Fieberbrunn (AUT)

After this season on the Freeride World Tour my only regret is that I never having been able to express myself completely during my run because I’m crashed before the END during the most important stop…  But I’m happy because I progressed in my ski, more technical and I’ll be back even stronger :)

Waiting Period in Austria

We are in Fieberbrunn in Austria.
The competition was canceled last weekend. Riders and organizers had to wait 7 days for the weather to clear up… so here is what happened during that happy time in Austria and Salzburg (GER) :)

Last stop before Verbier the final and last chance for me to be qualified for the next season.

FWT Kirkwood – 4th Stop

These last days I was in California for the fourth stop of the Freeride World Tour in Kirkwood. Warm weather and it hadn’t snowed since long time but finally in the venue conditions were not very bad. I chose a fluid run with 5 jumps and I finished 16th place, just little disappointed about the judgement because it was difficult to understand the judges ranking but step by step, work on progress…! You can see my run via this link:

After this stop in the mountains, I went to see a friend in Santa Cruz for 3 days. We did surfing, meeting new people… It was really cool with a local heroes, I love Santa Cruz, Thanks Romain!
Then before flying back to France, we visited San Francisco city with all these monuments and some popular place, it’s a class city… I would return to California in the future for sure :)
